The salon and spa industry has exploded to include many different services. One thing that should be cautioned is that there are very specific education and licensing requirements for each category of the industry. Some of the licenses, such as hairdressing, esthetics, and nail techs come from the OK State Board of Cosmetology....other common spa services such as advanced esthetic procedures (i.e. Laser Therapy. Botox, Micropigmentation and Derma Fillers), Athletic Training, Dietitiics and Nutritional Counceling, and Electrolysis are overseen by the OK Medical Board.

Thousands of volunteer beauty professionals support Look Good…Feel Better. All are trained and certified by the Personal Care Products Council Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and the Professional Beauty Association | National Cosmetology Association at local, statewide, and national workshops. Other volunteer health care professionals and individuals also give their time to the program.
